The Yeovil Engineman

The new edition of Over-65.com is out, with my article, The Yeovil Engineman, included. Splendid! This is the first piece I have published that is available on the net or in computerised form for me to send as an attachment to other editors as evidence that I can write and be published. Of course, I do still have copies of my Ecologist articles, but I wrote these pieces back in 1998-9 before I was using the net and so the only copies I have of them are paper copies which I keep in my writer's file. I also have the draft version of my article for World War 2 Reenactors magazine, but this piece was written for the first edition of that magazine and I'm not altogether sure whether Stewart has a copy of the finished article available for me. This is something I'm going to have to pursue. However, for the moment the other piece of good news is that Over-65's editor wants me to write a gardening piece, and seeing as I have now got my gardening blog up and running that shouldn't be too difficult.
