Offshore Wind farm at risk from basking sharks safety claim:

Opponents of the £7 billion Argyll Array, Scotland’s largest offshore wind farm to be located west of the island of Tiree, are claiming that the waters in that area are a vital mating ground for basking sharks, thereby putting the project at risk. The protest group No Tiree Array (NTA) wants the area to be designated a marine nature reserve for the species in order to stop Scottish Power Renewables building between 180 to 300 offshore wind turbines on the site.
