Flooded mines could help to heat Glasgow

Geologists have discovered a vast resource of underground water beneath the Scottish city of Glasgow which they say could help to heat the city’s homes and businesses. The water could be pumped out from old mine shafts and then cooled in order to deposit the heat at the surface before being returned underground.
