GL RC certifies Chinese wind turbine gearbox design


On October 18, GL Renewables Certification (GL RC) presented a Statement of Compliance to Chongqing Wangjiang Industrial Co., Ltd (CQWJ) after completing the A-Design Assessment of a new model of its 2-MW wind turbine gearbox.

GL RC opens new UK office


The company has opened its fifth international office in Glasgow which will deal with type and component certification for clients in the UK and Ireland.

Liverpool chef killed by faulty gas boiler


A 28-year old chef from Merseyside, working in Germany, has been killed by a faulty boiler according to a recent inquest into his death.

Five more companies join solar damages claim


More companies have announced they will requesting payment of damages from the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) for the ‘unlawful and unfair’ cuts to Feed-in Tariffs last year.
